Terrazzo is made from marble spills that are joined together with use for tiles or cast directly in place for smooth sanding. It is a material that is widely used in southern Europe but is also found in many public places in Sweden. Each and every door in the apartment building after 1960, for example, has terrazzo on the floor and stairs.
The benefits are many with terrazzo – it is durable, beautiful and available in many different color schemes and variants. When a few years ago it began to reappear as a trendy material, it was not difficult to understand the delight – in other words, it is a perfect follower to the marble we have seen in bathrooms for a while now.
